Registered massage therapy in Abbotsford

Therapeutic massage from registered massage therapists (RMTs), targeted at the tension, injury or stress that brought you in.

What is massage therapy?

Hands-on treatment for muscle, not just relaxation

Registered massage therapy is a clinical treatment, not a spa service. Our RMTs assess how your muscles, fascia and joints are moving, then work directly on the tissue that is restricted, overloaded or in spasm.

Pressure and technique are matched to you and your condition. Some visits are deep and specific, others are gentler, particularly during pregnancy, after surgery or when pain is highly sensitive. You are always in control of pressure.

Techniques your massage therapist may use

Every plan is tailored to you. Depending on your assessment, your treatment may draw on a combination of these.

Deep tissue massage

Sustained pressure into deeper muscle layers to release chronic tension.

Myofascial release

Slow, sustained stretch of restricted fascia to restore glide between tissues.

03

Trigger point therapy

Direct pressure on tight knots that refer pain elsewhere in the body.

04

Swedish massage

Flowing techniques that improve circulation and calm the nervous system.

Book an appointment
Do I need a referral for massage therapy?

For most extended health plans you can book directly. Some plans require a physician referral so it is worth checking your policy.

How long is a massage appointment?

We offer 30, 45 and 60-minute treatments. Sixty minutes is the most common for a specific complaint plus general tension.

Will the treatment be painful?

Effective massage can feel intense but it should never be more than you want. Tell your RMT at any point and they will adjust.

Can I have massage during pregnancy?

Yes. Our RMTs use side-lying positioning and adapted techniques and treat throughout pregnancy and after birth.
