Do I need a doctor referral for ICBC physiotherapy?

No. You can begin physiotherapy under an ICBC claim without a referral. You only need your claim number, which you receive when you report the accident to ICBC.

How many physiotherapy visits does ICBC cover?

ICBC pre approves up to 25 physiotherapy visits when treatment begins within 12 weeks of your accident. If you need more, further treatment can be requested where it is clinically supported.

Will I pay anything out of pocket?

We bill ICBC directly for approved visits. Depending on your claim and the service, a user fee may apply, and we will always tell you about any cost before your appointment.

What if my accident was more than 12 weeks ago?

You can still receive treatment. The 12 week window applies to the automatic pre approval, and our team can help you request approval for treatment beyond it.

Can I get massage or counselling under my ICBC claim too?

Yes. ICBC pre approves registered massage therapy, acupuncture, kinesiology and clinical counselling alongside physiotherapy and chiropractic care, and all of these are available at our clinic.

Can I choose my own clinic?

Yes. You are entitled to choose where you receive treatment for an ICBC claim. You do not have to attend a clinic that anyone else selects for you.
