Gentle suction that lifts tight fascia, improves circulation and releases tissue that manual pressure alone cannot reach.
Most hands-on therapy works by pressing into tissue. Cupping does the opposite, cups create gentle suction that lifts skin and fascia away from the muscle underneath, decompressing the layers and drawing fresh blood into the area.
That lift is useful where tissue feels stuck rather than simply tight. Cups may be left in place or moved across the area and treatment is generally comfortable and relaxing.
Cupping often leaves round marks for several days. They are not bruises in the usual sense and are not painful, they reflect blood drawn toward the surface. If you have an event coming up, tell your therapist and we will adjust placement or intensity.
Cupping suits tissue restriction, particularly across the back, shoulders and large muscle groups.
