Assessment and adjustment of the spine and joints to relieve pain, restore movement and support how your body carries load.
Chiropractic care focuses on the joints of the spine and limbs and how restriction in those joints affects pain and movement. Our chiropractor assesses how you move before treating so the adjustment addresses the cause rather than the loudest symptom.
Treatment may include manual adjustment, mobilization and soft-tissue work. Everything is explained before it happens and gentler techniques are available if you would prefer to avoid traditional adjusting.
Your first appointment is mostly assessment: history, movement testing and orthopaedic examination. If treatment is appropriate, it usually begins the same day. Most extended health plans cover chiropractic without a referral.
Chiropractic treatment is most often sought for spinal pain but it applies to joints throughout the body.

Every plan is tailored to you. Depending on your assessment, your treatment may draw on a combination of these.
A controlled, specific movement applied to a restricted joint to restore motion.
Slower, graded movement for patients who prefer a gentler approach.
Manual work on the muscles surrounding a restricted or painful joint.
Table-assisted adjusting that reduces the force required.
Specific movements to hold the improvement between visits.
Practical guidance for work setups, lifting and sleeping positions.
Restoring joint movement commonly reduces pain and the muscle guarding around it.
Turning, bending and reaching become easier as restriction eases.
Combining treatment with exercise reduces how often episodes return.
