Registered counselling support, available on its own or alongside physical treatment when pain and injury affect more than the body.
Persistent pain, injury and long recoveries take a mental toll. Sleep suffers, work becomes stressful and the frustration of a body that will not cooperate wears people down. Counselling addresses that directly.
Our registered clinical counsellor also sees people for concerns unrelated to injury, anxiety, low mood, stress, grief and life transitions. You do not need to be a physiotherapy patient to book.
Counselling sessions are confidential. Information is not shared with your physiotherapist or anyone else without your written consent, with the narrow legal exceptions your counsellor will explain in your first session.
Counselling is useful both alongside physical recovery and entirely on its own.
Not sure whether this is right for you? Call us, if something else would suit you better, we’ll tell you.
